The Pilates Method
The Pilates method was created by Joseph Pilates in the early twentieth century as a technique to achieve optimal wellness. Pilates is a challenging yet rewarding exercise regimen that blends Eastern and Western philosophies of mental and physical conditioning to create balance and harmony for the entire system. Results are achieved by applying these principles: breathing, centering, concentration, control, precision, and flow. The Studio Upstate features Pilates mat classes as well as equipment classes using the Reformer. Revitalize with the Pilates method.
